A Year Chock Full of Interviews
Today, on the last weekend of the year I sit with the satisfaction of having just uploaded the 52nd episode of my Ready, Set, Grit podcast. This week my guest is Ruby McQuire, coming to us from the UK with fabulous tips for success that will launch you into the new year on the right track, I am sure. Not only does she have a great message, but she delivers it with sauciness and humor – so much fun to listen to her. You can check it out here.
And the other 51 guests were pretty darn cool, too. I had the honor of speaking with writers, big thinkers, coaches, psychics, nutritionists, and so many more. I was honored that each and every one of them said yes to my request and it was so much fun to hear their stories and thoughts about the ways of the world. Several of my guests have turned into treasured friends and all of them are people who I will follow as they continue to do their good and important work.
Thinking back to a year ago, I didn’t know much at all about podcasting. I just knew that it was something that interested me, and moreover, I knew that I had such a lot of interesting, super smart people in my network – people whose voices need to be heard.
Although I had a desire to podcast, I also had a ton of reservations. I questioned whether I’d have the time to do the podcast properly, given my other commitments. I wasn’t sure how I’d find a new guest each and every week and I also didn’t know if people would even like what I was doing. I wasn’t sure how to deal with the technical aspects of having a podcast. The whole thing was a huge leap of faith, and I’ve learned a lot from the experience. First and foremost, I discovered a real passion for doing this work. I’m forever telling people to follow their bliss and the podcasts have become a part of that journey for me.
I’ve also conquered most of the technical challenges that I was facing, and have even helped others get started on their own journey into the world of podcasting. Podcasting is a commitment, to be sure, but it’s one that I’m finding is well worth it. If you haven’t listened to my show yet, you can check it out on iTunes or Soundcloud. If you like what you hear please subscribe and tell your friends! We’ve already recorded the first 12 episodes of 2018 and they are fantastic!
The year starts out with a story about a dog that gets rescued from Thailand, and brought to her new home outside of Seattle. In the following weeks we talk to world-renowned writers, coaches and publishers. We hear about defying death and about living life in incredible ways. It’s going to be quite the year… I would love to have you along for the ride!
